How do you remove a factory stereo from a 2002 Ford Explorer?

I was wanting to know how do you remove a stock factory stereo from a 2002 Ford Explorer.

It does not have any holes for a removal key..

Thanks|||You cannot see the retaining clips, they are made into the back of the plastic trim panel. You'll need to insert something thin along the side of the panel and pry it off. Take care not to damage the dash.

You can see the instructions here.

http://documents.victorytechnologies.com鈥?/a>|||I know this is not a UK car but on later Fords in the UK the sets are what is known as double din size meaning they are twice as big as the old sets used to be.

If this is the case you have to buy the removal kit from Ford, it comes in four parts that are slotted near each corner of the set.

You might have to do the same thing.

Hope this helps|||The Plastic trim pops off there should be 4 to 6 clips holding the trim piece in. If you have an airbag light on that trim piece, do not unplug it, or if you unplug it, do not turn your vehicle on at all until you plug it back in. There should be 2 or 4 7mm screws holding the radio in place.|||http://integrationsolutions.net/RADIO-REMOVAL/FORD/HTML/EXPLORER_REPLACE.HTML|||you have to remove the plastic trim around the radio ,and you will see 2 screws

good luck
