How was the model t ford different from previous cars in the world?

what made the model t ford better and different from previous cars and its competitors ?

was it diffrent mechanically, its body etc?|||They used an assembly line to make them, which meant they were more affordable. There were also more of them available for the same reason. A lot more of them. As in, cars became a regular mode of transportation because of the Model T. Only rich people had a chance to buy cars before, with the Model T middle class folks could buy a car.

So for a lot of people, there weren't any competitors or previous cars--this was the first one that was available to them!|||Another bg plus was the part interchangeability. When the small manufacturers made cars one-at a time, a lot of the parts were hand modified to fit that car. With Henry Ford's assembly line, a part on one car would fit on any car on the line. That made them much easier to fix, which brought the cost of ownership down.|||it was a very simple car, much simpler than other cars of it's time...this was so it could be assembled by mostly non-skilled workers on the assembly line..and at the same time be less expensive than it's competitors
