Can you jump the plug inside the vehicle and read the lights off dash on a ford contour?|||No,got to use a scanner to query the PCM.|||On dodge vehicles there is a procedure of cycling the ignition switch off-on, even with an OBD-II system, unsure if this works with other manufactors, chilton or hayes manuals best idea. You don't always have to use a scanner.
