When did ford motor company start making a 390 with fuel injection?

I have a truck f-150 4x4 1/2ton 5spd manual transmission,1986.

someone put a 390motor with fuel injection under the hood, what year did ford start making the 390 with fuel injection? are how can i tell what year the motor is?|||these motors only came carbed. There are stamping numbers on the lower side of the block . Look where the frost plugs are, or by the tranny housing. I cant remember.... Might be a 9,10 or 11 digit number.. If its starts with a C, its 1960;s , D = 70;s. Second digit should be a number, thats the year.. So, C5 means 1965..D7 means 1977..etc|||Is yours a FE 390 or a stroked out Windsor?

because there was no factory fuel injection ever for a FE, 352,360,390, 428...Ford stopped making the FE's in 1976, and the first fuel injection was the 2.3 four in 1983, a V8 didn't happen until 1985... but someone could have added a Ford CFI unit...it fits like a carburetor..

From wikipedia..

The FE engines were gone from Ford cars by 1972 but lingered in trucks into the mid-1970s. In the late 1970s the Dearborn Engine Plant that produced these engines was completely retooled to produce the 1.6 L engine introduced in the Ford Escort in 1981.|||They were never Fuel Injected. You can convert them to Fuel Injection, but it costs a pretty penny. Best stick with them original... they're best that way! Usually there are casting numbers on the side of the block. Look at those, and you will get answers (especially with your friend the internet).|||Ford never made a fuelie 390 from the factory.
