How can i fit a cd player into a ford fiesta with a cassette player?

I have a ford feista encore 1996 N reg. It has a cassette player st the moment and im trying to fit a cd player. To do this i have to buy a plug to make the old casste plug-in universal.

What plug or connecter/ adapter do i need?|||If you're asking how to mount and wire up the CD Player after you've taken the cassette player out, you'll need to get a faceplate mounting kit and a wiring harness for your car. You can get them at Walmart for $20 combined. You may also have to get an antenna adapter if the factory antenna is anything but a male end. Walmart also carries these.|||Hello

Presuming the radio/cd player is not a Ford one and comes with wires that plug into the back of the radio/cd player at one end and at the other end there are 2 X 8 pin connectors then that is called the ISO connection. The one with 8 wires is for the speakers and the other will normally have up to 5 wires for the power. So what you need is a Ford to ISO adapter. If the car still had the original Ford Radio fitted I would imagine it was fitted without an ISO adapter.

Basically the ISO will always have the same pin for the switched feed wire and the adapter changes it to the correct pin on the (In this case Ford) wiring loom.

The 2 X 8 pin adapters will ensure all the wires are matched correctly|||Some auto stores will have adapters to suit, otherwise just check positives with a test light.
