I would like to know if any of the Ford buffs know the correct year of the Ford 302 engine? Some backwoods, backyard, idiot on here insist it came out in 1967! I owned a 1969 Mustang fastback that had the Cobra 428 but to my knowledge the 289 was the only available engine in 1967! I know from my research that Ford prototyped a 302 in 1968 as a test for mass production to be used in the 1969 Mustangs. Does anyone have any information which they can give me a website or whatever to confirm otherwise? I would appreciate the input so as to put this issue to rest! I have gone to all the auto parts websites and there is NO 1967-68 listings for 302 parts!|||1968 - 302
